Things that inspire me: In The Mood For Love

Some people are really inspired by Asian/Oriental design aesthetics/concepts, but typically I'm not one of those people. This movie, however, prooves to be the exception for me. From the 1950's/1960's decor, to Mrs. Chan's impeccably tailored dresses (with some of the most amazing prints!), to Mrs. Chan's hair, to the bold wallpaper patterns. Another high point- -Mr. Chow's hotel room!!!!- -with the floor-to-ceiling hallway windows covered with a bright, slightly transparent curtain, the tile floor pattern, the WALLPAPER!!! The musical themes were gorgeous too- -a nice accompaniment to the beautiful costumes and scenery!
